volunteer work

We encourage our employees to contribute to the community by volunteering their time and talents. In the past, we gave each employee eight hours a year of paid Company Volunteer Time Off (CVTO), in which employees could serve the community in various ways, including by donating blood, volunteering, and voting in national, state, and local elections. In January 2024, we launched a new Company volunteer program called Project We Go Beyond, through which employees are asked to volunteer at least eight hours per quarter, or thirty-two hours per year, in their local communities.

We identify and notify employees of volunteer opportunities in the community.

In 2023, we accomplished our goal to provide hundreds of volunteer hours in our local communities. Some highlights include:

  • In February, employees volunteered at Women Tech Council's SheTech Explorer Day, an entire day that allows middle school and high school aged girls to explore education and career opportunities in STEM, including running a booth and hosting a coding workshop.

  • In June, employees participated in the Utah Pride Parade and volunteered at the Utah Pride Festival, which we sponsored.

  • In September, employees volunteered at a local non-profit, The Other Side Thrift Boutique, to decorate and style their storefront. The Other Side Thrift Boutique is run and managed by students and graduates of The Other Side Academy - a non-profit helping to address the problems of homelessness, criminal behavior, and long-term addiction.

  • We ran four blood drives to collect employee blood donations, supporting the American Red Cross.
